Job Description
Ensure that all TYE Noorda Theatre Camps are run in accordance with UVU policies. Assist in teaching, directing and photo taking for the events. Works closely with TYE Noorda supervisors and carries out duties as assigned. One-semester, part-time student role. A student may teach one six-week session or both sessions for 12 instructional weeks, with potential future assignments based on program need and performance. Be a teacher or assistant teacher and/or play director in the areas of theatre, music, movement or art Create lesson plans and work with other teachers and TYE Center staff Work with children ranging from 5-year-olds to 17-years-old Photograph teachers and students engaged in coursework - must follow media release standards Attend a mandatory meeting and lesson planning session Perform other job-related duties, as assigned Must be a current UVU student. Mandatory Thursday-night classes at UVU Lehi. Session 1: Aug. 27-Oct. 1, 2026. Session 2: Oct. 22-Dec. 3, 2026. No class Oct. 8, Oct. 15, or Nov. 26. Available for every assigned Thursday-night class in Session 1, Session 2, or both. Has reliable transportation to UVU's Lehi campus and understands that each class is compensated as three total hours, including preparation and travel time. Knowledge of teaching basic techniques to children and youth Work with others, including peers and mentors; remain patient with children and youth Arrive at work at scheduled time; turn lesson plans in on time
