Classroom Teaching Marketing Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking talented, passionate, and community-minded Teaching Artists to join our team. As a Teaching Artist, you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage individuals through various artistic mediums while helping to grow our vibrant arts education program. This is a part-time, quarterly, contract position requiring experience in arts education, lesson planning, and classroom management. If you're a skilled painter, drawer, printmaker, wheel thrower, or have experience with Raku firing, and you believe in the power of art to build community and inspire creativity, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement creative and engaging art lessons for individuals of all ages Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity and self-expression Teach a variety of artistic techniques and skills, including painting, drawing, sculpting, ceramics, and crafting Provide guidance and support to students in their artistic journey Manage classroom dynamics and ensure a safe and respectful environment Conduct outreach efforts to promote programs and increase class enrollment, including community engagement, networking, and collaborating on marketing initiatives
Experience:
  • Previous experience in early childhood education or teaching art to children, teens or adults
  • Strong lesson planning skills with the ability to tailor lessons to different age groups and skill levels
