Job Description

Lancaster Performing Arts Center (LPAC) is looking for a detail-oriented person to provide audio/visual needs for season and rental productions. The Technical Assistant
  • Video operates under supervision of LPAC Supervisor and Senior Technical Assistants.
Hours:
Part Time up to 940 hours per fiscal year, 20 hours per week, not guaranteed.

Stage Assistants Example of Duties & Responsibilities:
Lancaster Performing Arts Center (LPAC) is looking for a detail-oriented person to provide audio/visual needs for season and rental productions, including responsibility in: Working video calls on Season and Rental performances; calls can include setting video signal for IMAG, artist playback, confidence monitors and central video switcher controls. Knowledge of digital cameras, camera placement, AV signal flow and filming experience. Basic rigging skills for over stage projection and screen placements. Other duties as required working alongside local crews. The duties listed above are not intended to be all-inclusive. An employee may also perform other related duties as assigned by their immediate supervisor. This position is considered (non-exempt).

  • Blackmagic ATEM/Constellation and Panasonic switcher/panel operations
  • Sony, Canon, Blackmagic or Panasonic video cameras and lenses
  • Teradek and Cineview / wireless video transceiver systems
  • Dante AV, video over IP
  • High output Eiki, Panasonic digital projectors Windows PC, Mac OS, QLab software for video output
  • Video director operations
Education and Experience:
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for acceptable job performance.
  • Currently enrolled in a college, university, or trade school majoring in Theatre Arts, Film, Television, or a related field, is desirable.
