Full-Time About Us Wyredreams is a growing low-voltage and AV integration company specializing in smart home technology, networking, audio/video systems, and structured cabling. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Low Voltage Technician to join our team and support residential and commercial installations. Position Overview The Low Voltage Technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining low-voltage systems including AV, networking, and smart home solutions. This role requires hands-on fieldwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and with a team. Key Responsibilities Install and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat6, fiber, speaker wire, etc.) Rack buildouts, cable management, and labeling Install and configure networking equipment (routers, switches, access points) Install and set up AV systems including TVs, speakers, and conferencing equipment Mount displays, cameras, and AV hardware Work with systems such as Control4, Crestron Home, Sonos, and Ubiquiti Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and final commissioning Document work performed, including materials used and job notes Maintain clean and organized job sites and company vehicles Qualifications Minimum 2-5 years of experience in low-voltage, AV, or related field Experience with structured cabling and AV installations Familiarity with networking fundamentals (IP addressing, routers, switches) Experience with platforms like Crestron, Control4, or similar is a plus Ability to read plans, diagrams, and scopes of work Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and construction environments Preferred Skills Crestron Home experience (highly preferred) Experience with Zoom Rooms / conference systems (Logitech Rally, etc.) Rack building and MDF/IDF experience Clean finish work and attention to detail
