Job Description
Seeking a licensed E1 or E2 Electrician to perform commercial electrical work supporting the installation of Audio Visual (AV) systems in office buildings, schools, and other commercial facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial electrical experience and be willing to learn AV installation. Training on the AV side will be provided. Must-Have Qualifications Valid Connecticut E1 or E2 Electrical License . 5+ years of commercial electrical installation experience. Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints. Experience installing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems. Knowledge of low-voltage wiring is a plus. Strong skills using hand tools, measuring instruments, and electrical testing equipment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift 50 lbs and work flexible day and evening shifts. Willingness to learn AV systems and new technologies. Preferred Qualifications Experience with low-voltage wiring or commercial AV installations. Familiarity with video walls, conference room systems, sound systems, or smart boardrooms. Experience with AV technologies such as Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Atlona, or Dante . AVIXA CTS/CTS-I or OSHA certification. Key Responsibilities Perform commercial electrical work for AV installation projects. Install electrical and low-voltage wiring as required. Read and interpret electrical schematics and architectural drawings. Test, troubleshoot, and commission electrical and AV systems. Complete project punch lists and installation documentation. Maintain high-quality workmanship while following all safety standards.
