Job Description
Job Overview AHT Hawaii is seeking a dedicated, organized and knowledgeable Residential AV Technician who possesses great customer service and communications skills. AHT Hawaii is a division of AHT Global, an elite residential technology integration firm with offices across the country. We specialize in the design and installation of a wide variety of residential technologies including audio systems, video walls, private cinemas, lighting control systems, motorized window treatments, security and IT systems. This is an experienced AV technician position. We are looking for intelligent individuals with a positive, get it done attitude. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain various AV, IT and control systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality audio and visual experiences for our clients. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain audio visual equipment including projectors, microphones, speakers, and video conferencing systems. Read and interpret schematics to assist in the setup and troubleshooting of AV systems. Perform software troubleshooting to resolve technical issues related to AV hardware and software integration. Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Utilize cabling techniques to ensure proper connectivity between devices while adhering to low voltage standards. Operate voltmeters, pair testers, network validators, computer software applications and other diagnostic tools to assess equipment functionality. Provide field service support for on-site installations and repairs as needed. Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional service during events and installations. Experience Proven experience in audio visual technology or a related field is required. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot hardware issues effectively. Familiarity with computer hardware and software systems relevant to audio visual applications. Experience with telecommunication systems is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments. Requirements At least 3-years prior experience working full-time for a busy AV integrator. Prior experience with control system programming and wired/wireless networking deployment. Ability to lift and pull up to 50 lbs. Ability to pull wire Fully squat, stoop, or kneel Maintain standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires Work off ladders Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including cold, rain, heat, etc. Ability to tolerate high noise levels subject to a construction site
