No Benefits Job Summary We are seeking a motivated L1 AV Support Engineer to provide onsite Audio-Visual and IT support at our client's location in Boston, Massachusetts . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting conference room technologies, video conferencing platforms, and end-user AV equipment. This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced corporate environment. This is a full-time onsite position from Monday through Friday. This is a 1099 Independent Contractor role without any benefits. Key Responsibilities Provide first-level (L1) onsite support for Audio-Visual (AV) systems and meeting room technologies. Set up, operate, and troubleshoot conference room equipment, including displays, projectors, microphones, speakers, cameras, and presentation systems. Provide support for Cisco Webex, Cisco Webex Room Devices, Webex Meetings, and Cisco video conferencing endpoints. Support Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and other collaboration platforms. Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Webex devices, room scheduling panels, and conferencing peripherals. Assist users with meeting setup, audio/video connectivity, screen sharing, and presentation issues. Monitor meeting rooms to ensure all AV equipment is functioning properly before scheduled meetings. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues related to AV systems. Perform routine preventive maintenance and testing of conference room equipment. Coordinate with remote engineering teams and third-party vendors for issue escalation when required. Maintain inventory of AV equipment, accessories, and spare devices. Create and update documentation, troubleshooting guides, and asset records. Manage support requests through the organization's ticketing system and ensure timely resolution. Deliver excellent customer service while supporting executives and end users. Required Skills & Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in Audio-Visual (AV) or Desktop Support. Hands-on experience supporting Cisco Webex conferencing solutions. Experience with Cisco Webex Room Kits, Webex Boards, Webex Desk Pro, or Cisco collaboration endpoints. Experience supporting Microsoft Teams and Zoom meetings. Knowledge of AV hardware, including projectors, displays, microphones, amplifiers, speakers, cameras, and presentation systems. Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Experience troubleshooting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C, VGA, and other AV connectivity standards. Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar platforms. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of customer service. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting executive boardrooms and conference rooms. Basic knowledge of Cisco networking and collaboration technologies. Familiarity with Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Poly, or Logitech conferencing solutions. ITIL Foundation certification is a plus. CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
