• Audio Video (AV) Technician DALY Computers is a system integrator, solution provider, value added reseller, and major service provider focused on serving the IT infrastructure needs of state local governments and education customers.

DALY is seeking a friendly, experienced, detail-oriented, and service-driven AV Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and supporting audio-video systems. The position requires hands-on experience with audio-video installations, including cable pulling, mounting TVs, screens, and projectors, knowledge of basic construction techniques, IT, and electrical concepts. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. However, hours may occasionally be adjusted to meet customer needs. This position may also require overtime, weekend work, or occasional extended stays/overnight travel, depending on customer location and requirements. This role requires travel to various customer sites throughout the

DC/MD/VA

area, with travel accounting for up to 70% of the position. When not on-site with a customer, work will be based out of DALY's Rosedale or Frederick, MD offices. All candidates must pass a comprehensive criminal background check and a drug screening/testing. Daly is a drug-free workplace. This position also requires reliable transportation, a clean driving record, a valid driver's license, and proof of insurance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site audiovisual equipment installation for our clients, including low voltage wiring, trim-out, equipment rack setup, plasma/LCD, projectors and projection systems, media rooms, audio hardware and speakers, control systems, and some programming based on experience.
• Perform cable pull-paths, diagnosis structural/room interior for efficient and optimum installations, crimp and terminate audio and video cables.
• Assist with installations and programming of classroom/boardroom AV automation/control systems.
• Install video conferencing systems and audio-video racks.
• Read and interpret AV System drawings, schematics, and construction plans.
• Install low voltage wiring and cable, solder and terminate connectors.
• Assemble/disassemble appropriate supports/mounts.
• Patch walls where applicable.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Any industry certifications, such as

CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, BICSI.

• Experience with Crestron, AMX, Extron, Kramer, Biamp, SMART, or similar systems is a plus.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and work within varied conditions, some which may be small or confined.
• Must be comfortable working on ladders and on lifts as required.
• Basic understanding of AV and network test equipment.
• Capable of logically and systematically troubleshooting issues.
• Maintain professional work appearance and outstanding customer interaction.
• Must possess excellent communications skills both verbally and in writing.
• Must be detail-oriented and possess great organizational skills.
• Experience in structural installation of displays, screens, and projectors.
• Proven ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
