Job Description
Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a commercial audiovisual integration organization, is seeking a skilled AV Install Technician Lead. This role is responsible for leading commercial AV installations in the field, coordinating crews and other trades, and ensuring projects are installed accurately and remain on schedule. Job Duties Lead on-site installation crews throughout commercial AV integration projects Install and integrate professional audio, video, conferencing, control, and related AV systems Read and interpret construction drawings, system diagrams, schematics, and installation documentation Coordinate installation activities with project managers, installation managers, contractors, and other trades Organize job-site materials, equipment, and installation activities to support project schedules Troubleshoot installation and system issues as they arise in the field Perform basic programming, configuration, and system setup as required Take ownership of day-to-day field execution and ensure installations meet project specifications Skills & Experience Hands-on professional experience installing and integrating commercial AV systems Previous experience leading commercial AV installations or functioning as an on-site lead technician Experience reading construction prints, AV drawings, system diagrams, and schematics Working knowledge of commercial AV control, audio, video, conferencing, and signal distribution systems Hands-on experience with major commercial AV platforms such as Crestron, Q-SYS, or comparable technologies Basic AV programming, configuration, and system troubleshooting knowledge Experience coordinating AV installation activities with construction trades and contractors Desired Experience with Symetrix, Yealink, and/or additional commercial AV manufacturers Professional audio systems installation and integration experience Experience across multiple commercial AV control, DSP, conferencing, and audio platforms Live events AV experience combined with permanent commercial AV integration experience Advanced AV programming or system configuration experience Relevant AV industry certifications
