This role requires driving to 2-4 commercial locations per day using your personal vehicle in the greater metropolitan area and suburbs. Mileage is reimbursed, but transportation is not provided. You must have your own reliable vehicle. TAIV is seeking an experienced Commercial AV Technician to support installations and service across restaurants, bars, gas stations, and retail locations in your market. This is a field-based contractor role requiring strong AV fundamentals, professionalism, and reliable transportation. Installations are relatively straightforward (HDMI, power, RCA), but restaurant AV and matrix systems can be complex, so solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required. About

We also deploy standalone digital signage in gas stations and retail environments. TAIV operates in 3500+ live locations nationwide and continues to expand. Responsibilities Install and service TAIV hardware at commercial locations. Work with restaurant AV and matrix systems. Troubleshoot signal, power, and connectivity issues. Communicate professionally with venue staff and internal teams. Travel to 2-4 locations per day using your own vehicle. Qualifications 3-5 years of commercial AV or IT experience. Experience working with matrix systems. Comfortable using ladders in commercial environments. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent (required). English required; Spanish preferred.

$27-$34 per hour, based on experience
Mileage Reimbursement:
$0.72 per mile
Schedule & Availability:
This is a part-time, flexible role with weekly hours typically ranging between 15-40 hours per week , depending on current project volume. Workload fluctuates based on active installations and service needs; some weeks may be very busy, while others may be quiet. Because of this variability, we strongly suggest this position be paired with another job or secondary income source. Work is primarily scheduled on weekdays between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional weekends required based on venue availability. Minimum availability of 3 days per week is required.
