Audio Visual Specialist - Kansas City Burns & McDonnell - 3.6 Kansas City, MO Job Details Full-time 20 hours ago Qualifications Video conferences (communication methods) Full Job Description Description The Audio Visual (AV) Specialist will work closely within functional teams to deliver audio visual services across all Burns & McDonnell locations with a strong emphasis on teamwork, customer commitment, a sense of urgency, and continuous improvement. This position will provide technical advice and support to help employees, clients, and guests utilize Burns & McDonnell audio visual enabled facilities and services effectively. Perform preventative maintenance and monitoring of all AV enabled spaces at the local site, including all video conferencing infrastructure located within corporate data centers. Perform AV support during presentations and company-sponsored events. Solve any issues in AV enabled spaces to complete resolution, including coordination with AV integration partners on hardware warranty, control system programming, or cabling issues. Perform testing for any AV integrated control system for all new installations, moves, or changes. Perform the installation of basic, standard, AV spaces when schedule or cost prohibits use of AV integration partner. Partner with Burns & McDonnell Global Practices to provide AV consulting on client based AV questions, and project billable codes required for this level of assistance. Provide support to employees, clients and guests in all Burns & McDonnell locations via phone, video, e-mail, and in-person. Ensure requests from incidents assigned from Service Desk include all relevant contact information. Research initial troubleshooting with no resolution. Perform in person visits as required due to hardware failure. Resolve incidents assigned from other IT groups when their secondary troubleshooting has indicated a root cause related to areas of responsibility held by AV Specialist. Responsible for validation testing and data analysis process. Build effective relationships with existing clients, customers and contractors and develop new business opportunities. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related degree etc. and 4 years related experience required. Or applicable years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement. Excellent audio-visual skills, including data analysis abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite. This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.
