Lead AV Technician Luxury Residential (5+ Years Experience)

Epic Systems Tech is looking for a motivated Lead Audio Video Technician to join our growing team.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who's spent years on tools, knows how to take a project from pre-wire through commissioning, and is ready to own crews, timelines, and quality on some of the most beautiful homes in NJ and NYC. Most of our projects are in New Jersey, but we are quickly expanding into NYC and being able to work in both locations is required for this role 90% of the time, you will be in NJ and 10% of the time you will be in NYC. What you'll do: Run job sites end-to-end -rough-in, trim, commissioning, and client handoff Lead and mentor a crew of 2-4 techs across active projects Coordinate directly with our PM, electricians, builders, designers, and homeowners Own the quality of Cat6, speaker wire, and low-voltage cabling - your work and your crew's Install and commission TVs, speakers, cameras, motorized shades, and lighting control Support programming on Control4 and Lutron Catch issues early, flag scope creep, and keep jobs on track Represent Epic on site clean, professional, and clear with high-end clients What we're looking for: 5+ years of residential AV, smart home, or low-voltage installation experience Strong hands-on knowledge of Control4, Unifi, and Lutron Homeworks & RA3 Strong Programming ability of Control4 and Lutron. Comfortable reading prints, wire schedules, and coordinating with electricians on pre-wire Proven ability to lead crews and run jobsites without being micromanaged Strong client-facing communication - you can walk a homeowner or interior designer through a system without losing them Experience with motorized shades (Sivoia, Lutron) and TV mounting in high-finish environments Valid driver's license, and willingness to work across NJ and NYC Why join Epic Systems Tech?
