AV Installation Technician

• Position Summary The Audio-Visual Installer conducts all aspects of a commercial installation, including pulling and terminating cabling, mounting hardware, modifying furniture, assembling and wiring racks, etc. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Systems commissioning for complex systems or systems requiring high tuning expertise.
• Conduct all aspects of commercial audio-visual integration.
• Work with the scope of commercial construction projects, mechanical fastening, and mounting, infrastructure cabling, cable termination, enterprise networking, current AV signal processing and delivery methodologies, control protocols, etc.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure client requests are properly executed and timelines are achieved.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose all related systems.
• Cable pulling/running.
• Abide all State and Federal motor vehicle laws and regulations.
• Travel to client sites within the tri-state area with provided company vehicles.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as required by management. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
• Ability to correctly read and interpret AV and construction schematics.
• Capability to perform DSP/Control System changes and uploads.
• Good working knowledge of all applicable equipment and software, including DSPs, matrices, control processors, streaming servers, digital signage servers, and sound masking.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership, communication (both written and verbal,) and computer and customer service skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools. Education and/or Experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of hands-on field experience
• highly preferable in AV/IT or a similar industry
• 1•3 years' experience with large-scale commercial AV Installation Language and Mathematical Skills•Ability to read and speak English and comprehend simple instructions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken Reasoning Ability
• Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.
• Ability to expertly navigate situations, solve problems, and create structure in a rapidly changing environment. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• Valid Driver's License
• Clear criminal and driving record required.
