Purpose To support the Audio/Video Team within the College of Fine Arts Dean's Office, providing classroom/event support as well as maintenance and repairs.Responsibilities Live Classroom Support:
Main front line Tier 1 support call response, remediation and documentation.Backend Classroom Support:
Assist with preparation, installation and inventory of life cycle AV upgrades.Networking Assistance:
Assist with local networking infrastructure and devices.Incoming/outgoing deliveries:
Assist with the intake and local delivery of device inventory and tracking.Repair/Replace/Maintenance:
Assist the AV Team with Tier 2 support, research, repair/replace and maintenance.College of Fine Arts AV Event Support:
Assist AV Team with AV set-up, operation & breakdown for college events. Additional Duties Cage reorganization CCART and Surplus runs Assist SysAdmin with inventory Operational checklist and Classrooms device wiki updates Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years of experience providing IT support to a customer base. Two years' experience in customer service. One year of experience in AV support. Demonstrated knowledge of AV control and automation. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot AV hardware and software up to current networking protocols. Demonstrated knowledge of computer OS (Windows and Mac). Required Competencies Initiative Decision Making/Problem Solving Service Excellence Teamwork Prioritization Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications AV Classroom support experience within higher education environment. In-depth understanding of signal flow. In-depth understanding of computer networking. Certifications in AV technology (Extron, Crestron, Zoom, etc). Salary Range $34,320 fixed rate (pro-rated from $45,760 annualized rate) Fixed-term position (ends 5/31/27) Working Conditions On-campus only. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Climbing of ladders and stairs. Use of hand powered tools. Use of manual dexterity. May work around electrical and mechanical hazards. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
