Audiovisual Technician Adaptive Low Voltage LLC Dallas-Fort Worth, TX Job Details Contract | Freelance $20 - $38 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Network installation Teamwork Personal protective equipment (PPE) use Interpreting technical drawings Electrical schematic reading and interpretation Low-voltage system cabling Network infrastructure Electrical layout diagram interpretation Working in the AV industry Hand tools Working on construction projects Low-voltage electrical wiring Full Job Description Overview Adaptive Low Voltage is expanding our network of independent technicians for upcoming commercial AV, lighting, and low-voltage installation projects. We are building a standby pool of qualified 1099 technicians who can be called upon for project-based work as installations ramp up across Texas and surrounding markets. This opportunity is ideal for experienced AV and low voltage professionals who prefer flexible contract work and want consistent access to projects with major integrators and commercial clients. Technicians accepted into the Adaptive network will be notified of upcoming projects and able to accept assignments based on their availability.
Work may include:
Commercial AV installations Conference room buildouts Speaker and display installation Cable pulling and termination Rack buildouts and system commissioning Lighting and control systems Low voltage infrastructure installation Typical Project Work Contract technicians may be asked to assist with: Installation of projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, cameras, and AV control systems Pulling, dressing, labeling, and terminating low voltage cabling Mounting displays, speakers, and equipment racks Installing video conferencing and collaboration systems Reading and working from schematics, prints, and installation drawings Assisting with system testing and commissioning Supporting project teams on commercial construction sites or finished environments Projects may range from single-day service calls to multi-week installations . Contractor Requirements Technicians must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for the Adaptive network: Proven experience with commercial audiovisual or low voltage installations Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and system drawings Experience pulling and terminating low voltage cabling Comfortable working with hand tools, ladders, lifts, and installation equipment Experience working on commercial job sites requiring PPE Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites Ability to work independently or as part of a field installation team Experience with the following systems is a plus: Commercial AV systems Lighting control Structured cabling Broadcast systems Network infrastructure Security or access control systems Important Notes This opportunity is for independent contractors (1099) . Contractors set their availability and accept projects individually. Work is project-based and scheduled as client demand requires .
