We specialize in installing professional audio, video, drive-thru/timer systems, security cameras, and data networks for restaurants, retail spaces, offices, and commercial facilities. Job Description Our company is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Commercial AV Technician Helper. This is an entry-level position assisting experienced technicians with commercial audio, video, drive-thru, and data system installations. The successful candidate will assist with the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of audio, video, drive-thru/timer systems, security cameras, and data equipment at commercial establishments. This is a field-based position working primarily at commercial construction sites, with many projects located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Responsibilities Assist technicians with installation and setup of audio, video, drive-thru/timer, and data equipment at construction sites Assist with pulling low voltage cabling in drop ceilings, open ceilings, and wall cavities Help install speakers, TVs, projector mounts, projector screens, and other AV equipment Assist with installation of network equipment, patch panels, and AV rack equipment Assist with installation of drive-thru communication systems and timer systems Help perform saw cuts in concrete or asphalt and assist with installing vehicle detection loops for drive-thru timer systems Carry ladders, tools, and equipment to job sites using a personal vehicle Maintain clean and organized job sites Assist technicians in ensuring equipment is properly installed and functioning Communicate with technicians and project managers regarding daily progress Learn proper installation practices, cable management, and system setup Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent Must have a truck capable of transporting ladders and equipment Comfortable working on ladders and scissor lifts Ability to work in tight spaces Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work on construction sites Ability to operate basic power tools such as drills and saws Willingness to learn commercial AV and low voltage installation practices Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to work independently and in a team environment Must be willing to travel regularly to job sites in the Dallas-Fort Worth area Some overnight travel required Some out-of-state travel required Some night work required Some weekend work required Benefits Hourly wage $17-$21 depending on experience with overtime pay provided Paid time off, holidays, and travel (eligible after 90-day introductory period) If you are interested in learning the commercial AV industry and working with a growing company, please submit your resume.
