Rate:

$35 / 8-hour day Position Overview The Utility III is the most advanced utility position supporting the live college football broadcast. This role should be staffed by an experienced broadcast utility professional who is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced production environment and can take the lead when needed. The ideal candidate will have strong operational familiarity with television production equipment and, preferably, previous experience working at Hornet Stadium or a similar college football venue. Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup, positioning, and teardown of broadcast cameras and related equipment.
• Support handheld and fixed-camera operators throughout the production.
• Manage and maintain camera cables, ensuring they are safely routed and organized.
• Demonstrate proper "over/under" cable wrapping techniques and maintain clean, tidy cable coils behind handheld camera operators.
• Assist with monitors, cables, cameras, and other television production equipment as needed.
• Identify and address basic equipment or cabling issues with minimal supervision.
• Take initiative and provide direction to other utility personnel when necessary.
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area throughout the event.
• Work closely with camera operators, technical staff, and other members of the production crew.
• Assist with other production-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Significant prior experience as a broadcast utility or in a similar live television production role.
• Must have operational familiarity with TV equipment, including cameras, cables, and monitors.
• Must be skilled in "over/under" cable wrapping and maintaining clean, organized cable coils behind a handheld camera operator.
• Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision.
• Strong understanding of live sports and broadcast production workflows.
• Ability to take the lead and make sound decisions when necessary.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in a fast-paced live-event environment.
• Prior experience at Hornet Stadium or a similar college football venue is strongly preferred.
• Reliable, professional, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a production team.

Compensation $35 / 8-hour day
