Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radio Frequency (RF) Technician to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing radio frequency systems and equipment used in various communication applications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex RF systems, ensuring optimal performance through precise diagnostics and repairs. The ideal applicant will possess strong electrical engineering knowledge, hands-on experience with PCB design and assembly, and proficiency in relevant software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks. A background in schematic interpretation, electrical wiring, and equipment maintenance is essential to support the development and upkeep of advanced RF communication systems. Duties Install, calibrate, and maintain radio frequency systems and associated electronic equipment to ensure reliable communication performance. Conduct root cause analysis on RF system failures or performance issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and oscilloscopes. Troubleshoot electrical wiring, schematics, and PCB assemblies to identify faults or inefficiencies. Perform soldering and surface mount technology (SMT) assembly on circuit boards for repair or prototype development. Utilize CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks to design schematics, layouts, and mechanical components related to RF systems. Develop project schedules for system upgrades or new installations while coordinating with cross-functional teams. Repair or replace programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical wiring, hand tools, and other mechanical components as needed. Conduct debugging of electrical systems using scripting languages such as Python or specialized diagnostic software. Support manufacturing processes by assembling RF modules and testing equipment for compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Document technical procedures, schematics, and system configurations accurately for future reference. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; additional certifications in RF technology are preferred. Proven experience working with electrical systems, schematics, PCB design, and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks for designing electrical layouts and mechanical components. Strong knowledge of electrical wiring standards including NEC regulations. Experience with surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and electronic assembly. Familiarity with scripting languages like Python for automation or debugging purposes. Ability to perform root cause analysis using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and oscilloscopes. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance using hand tools. Understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and electrical troubleshooting. Excellent project scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and vendors. Pay:
