Job Description

FirstSF is seeking a Director of Technology and Communications to lead our service production, communications, content creation, and ITfunctions. This role is ideal for someone who blends technical expertise with creative storytelling and a heart for ministry.
SERVICE & EVENT PRODUCTION
  • Oversee production for in-person and livestream services and events (Sunday mornings, Good Friday, Christmas Eve, and more)
  • Train, schedule, and support production team members using Planning Center, email, text, and other tools
  • Coordinate with staff, speakers, worship team, and other parties to gather details for services and events
  • Provide production support for external and rental events as needed
  • Maintain and update all hardware, software, and Dante network equipment needed for service production
COMMUNICATIONS
  • Plan, edit, and publish weekly newsletter publications
  • Work with staff, ministry leaders, and editors to gather and edit newsletter content
  • Create graphics and other media assets for newsletter publications
  • Maintain and update the FirstSF website and app (Subsplash)
  • Maintain and update newsletter mailing list(s)
CONTENT CREATION
  • Plan and manage a content creation calendar (Website, App, Metricool, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, and Bluesky)
  • Create and edit long-form and short-form weekly sermon content
  • Create and edit additional content for social media and other digital platforms
  • Collaborate with, support, and resource others assisting in the content creation process
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
  • Provide software and technical support to staff and ministry leaders
  • Update and support computers, printers, and other peripherals
  • Maintain and update the Unifi network
  • Maintain and update the Unifi digital door system
  • Coordinate with the Internet Service Provider (currently AT&T) as needed
  • Address other IT needs as they arise
HELPFUL EXPERIENCE
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Keynote, and similar software
  • Working knowledge of creative tools such as Adobe Suite, Canva, DaVinci Resolve, Studio One (now Fender Studio Pro), and similarsoftware
  • Music production experience (recording, mixing, mastering, arrangement, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, ClickUp, etc.
)
Salary:
Commensurate with experience, plus benefits
