About Ace Chicago Events Ace Chicago Events is a growing event production company specializing in AV, lighting, drapery, photo booths, and special effects for corporate and private events throughout Chicagoland. We believe great events come from people who care about professionalism, client experience, communication, and attention to detail just as much as the technical side of production. We're known for being dependable, collaborative, and genuinely invested in the success of every event we support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys live events, gets excited about production, and wants to grow their skills within a professional team. The Role This role is ideal for someone who enjoys professional event environments, takes pride in polished execution, and works well with clients, venues, and event teams in fast-paced corporate and social settings. This is a W-2 employee position (part-time with variable hours), not a freelance/1099 role. What You'll Do Set up, operate, and strike AV equipment including audio systems, lighting, and video Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and calmly during live events Anticipate challenges and take initiative to solve problems before they affect the event Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, clients, and other vendors Work alongside experienced technicians while learning Ace Chicago Events' systems and standards Lead small teams when needed and take ownership of assigned responsibilities Contribute to creating visually polished, high-quality event environments Who Thrives in This Role This position is a great fit if: You take pride in creating clean, polished event setups You communicate professionally with clients, planners, venues, and team members You stay calm and solutions-focused in fast-paced environments You are dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive You understand that guest and client experience matters just as much as the technical side You enjoy working on corporate events, presentations, galas, weddings, and private events You work well as part of a team and are willing to jump in where needed What We're Looking For Experience General AV knowledge and live event experience required Experience working weddings, corporate meetings, galas, conferences, hospitality events, or client-facing event environments is strongly preferred.
