Force Technology Solutions (Force Tech) is seeking a highly-organized and self-directed Production Technician specializing in audio. Position Overview:

The Production Technician plays a key role in the successful execution of our technology solutions. The Production Technician is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the preparation, deployment, and execution of live event production equipment across audio, video, lighting, and rigging systems. This position plays a critical part in ensuring all gear is properly maintained, prepped, and show-ready, while also assisting with on-site event setup, operation, and strike. This role is split between warehouse/shop responsibilities and on-site event work. In the warehouse, the Production Technician is responsible for pulling, prepping, testing, and maintaining equipment, as well as ensuring accurate inventory tracking and organization. Attention to detail and accountability are essential to ensure all equipment leaving and returning to the shop is in proper working condition. On show sites, the Production Technician assists with loading, setup, system integration, troubleshooting, and tear-down of production systems. They work under the direction of department leads (Audio, Video, Lighting, or Rigging) and are expected to follow best practices for safety, efficiency, and client experience. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within the live events industry. They should be comfortable working in fast-paced environments, lifting and handling production equipment, and adapting to changing show conditions. A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role. This position provides a clear pathway for advancement into specialized or leadership roles within production disciplines, based on performance, initiative, and technical development.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and participate in in-shop production system building and preparation. Come alongside the team and build relationships for a strong and cohesive culture. Stay in clear communication with the Director and production manager on schedule in the shop and on events. Manage and assist with commissioning of production systems. Build and maintain relationships with clients, including maintaining a consistent presence. Collaborate across departments to support the Sales Team and ensure seamless project delivery. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and communication. Maintain clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders including the Production Manager, Sales Person, and Director Deliver client training as needed. 1 of 3 Confidential Letter of Intent to Hire Assist with system commissioning as required. Stay current on new technologies and industry trends. Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Secondary Duties:

When necessary, this position may be required to provide support in other areas of the company. Force Tech is a growing business and many of the employees fulfill multiple roles. No requested task should be considered beneath any employee when it comes to assisting in the bigger picture of the company.

Job Requirements:

Must be able to work at the Fort Wayne office during regular business hours (typically 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) and adapt to a flexible schedule, including after-hours work and occasional overnight travel. Must be available to travel to business locations and interact with potential and existing customers throughout the day. Must have a good work ethic and positive attitude. Must be willing to pursue familiarity and seek education regarding new technologies. Must have the ability to work with a team or by themselves. Must be able to understand and conform to OSHA requirements. Must have the ability to understand quality performance with a strong attention to detail. Must be able to pass a drug test. Must maintain a valid Indiana driver's license with a clean driving record. Must maintain reliable personal transportation. Must be able to work out of the Ft Wayne office. Must be willing to abide by Force Tech Off-Duty Conduct Policy. Must be willing to abide by Force Tech's Dress-Code which includes grooming standards.

Physical Requirements:

The following physical requirements are representative of those necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this role. Manual dexterity to handle and manipulate small components, including grasping and pinching small objects. Ability to input data into a computer or other devices using a traditional keyboard or 10-key pad. Visual acuity at close range (within 20 inches) for tasks like reading small print or working with small parts, and distance vision (20 feet or more). Depth perception at both close and long distances. Ability to perceive and differentiate between colors accurately. Strong verbal communication skills to clearly express and exchange information with clients and team members, including delivering detailed instructions effectively. Ability to hear, comprehend, and distinguish spoken communication in person, over the phone, or via other audio technologies.

Ideal Previous Experience:

1 - 3 years of experience in a similar industry (preferred but not mandatory). Familiarity with communication and control system protocols including IP (network) communication. Familiarity with most aspects of AVL, production, broadcast, and automation solutions.

Compensation:

All Compensation paid is subject to the withholding of such amounts, if any, relating to tax and other payroll deductions as the company may reasonably determine it is required to withhold pursuant to any applicable law, regulation, or benefit plan.
