Full Job Description Production Technician Job Description Role Summary:
The Production Technician supports the weekly logistical and technical responsibilities for Graceway's production environments, including Sunday and Wednesday services, special events, and production gatherings. This role assists in the execution of live production elements including audio, video, lighting, and stage support to help create excellent and distraction-free ministry environments. The Production Technician should possess strong technical knowledge, effective communication skills, and the ability to work well with staff and Dream Team members in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Experience and Knowledge Required:
Two (2) years of experience in a live production or broadcast environment Basic understanding of audio, video, and lighting systems, equipment, and concepts Intermediate proficiency on a Mac and PC Familiar with ProPresenter, BlackMagic Design, Vista Lighting Systems, ETC Lighting Systems, and various projector control interfaces Key Responsibilities:
Support all weekend services through stage setup, tech checks, and live service execution Operate systems such as camera, lighting board, ProPresenter, video switcher, audio utility, and broadcast support Work confidently in Dante networks, including routing, troubleshooting, and basic system management Assist in maintaining and organizing production gear, including lighting fixtures, consoles, cameras, lenses, audio equipment, and broadcast systems Help troubleshoot technical issues during services and events Maintain production spaces with cleanliness and readiness Manage checklists for service prep, equipment maintenance, and post-service reset Complete projects on time and communicate progress clearly Support special services, events, rehearsals, and ministries throughout the week and/or weekend Contribute to an excellent, distraction-free worship environment Experience and Knowledge Required:
Strong experience with videography, lighting, audio, and live production environments Intermediate proficiency on a Mac and PC Well-versed with ProPresenter, BlackMagic Design, Vista Lighting Systems, ETC Lighting Systems, and various projector control interfaces are preferred but not required Comfortable working in a church environment and aligned with the mission of Graceway Strong communicator with a teachable spirit and a heart for ministry Ability to lift and move equipment as needed Willingness to work Sundays, some evenings, and occasional special events Experience leading volunteers is preferred Personal Attributes:
