As Business Unit Automotive Solutions & Lamps we support our vision and strategy by expanding our leading position in the automotive lighting market in OEM and Aftermarket. We are in a global leadership position in the automotive lamps business in traditional and LED applications and offer industry leading products in LED lighting to global OEM customers (e.g. with exchangeable LED light sources). We also tackle new growth opportunities in the Aftermarket with our automotive care and equipment portfolio.
Job Summary:
Works independently with limited supervision leading daily operations of teams or groups, or as a higher-level technical resource. Maintains production requirements, provides training, and directs process improvements, as well as optimization of the processes and equipment to improve efficiency, output and performance. Monitors the operation and maintenance of assigned pieces of complex high-speed lamp making equipment in a fast-paced environment. This machinery includes electrical, pneumatic and mechanical components that interact simultaneously, comprising of a production line system. In conjunction with department Maintenance Foreman, Engineers and Management, they will develop process, maintenance and equipment improvement strategies to yield continuous improvement results. The Technician will also foster team excellence through direct support for the Managers, Maintenance Foreman, Supervisors, Engineers and hourly production associates. Will be required to utilize various forms of testing equipment, follow detailed product specifications and prints. Will be required to maintain the appropriate production, quality, SPC, maintenance records for assigned position, and to interact with machine information systems. At any time may assist in lower grade jobs in the department Ability to perform project work. The incumbent must be able to work flexible hours (overtime, weekends) and shutdown periods as required on a continual basis to address the technical concerns and needs of all shifts and the department.

Pay Rate:
$30/hour
Tech Qualifications:
High School graduate or GED required 2-5 Years minimum related mechanical & technical experience Willingness to attend training or formal classes/certifications required for the position. Must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to effectively work with all skill sets, including Hourly Production Associates, Mechanics, various levels of Management & Engineering Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the job
