Position Summary :
Assembly, configuration, and testing of telecommunications equipment. Document results on performed testing and archive completed system files of equipment. Test hardware of spare equipment, and quality check for inventory to be staged.
Key Responsibilities :
Assembly and configuration of voice and data equipment. Inventory and quality check of equipment list against staging documentation. Perform documented test procedures on voice and data equipment. Troubleshoot equipment issues. Review provisioning notes for client specific instructions. Assemble cables, adapters and installation kits. Record test results. ASE - General organization of provisioning/testing area.
Education :
Highschool diploma or GED certificate or 2 years. Telecom and/or Data Networking Certificate. Working towards and associate degree.
Experience :
1-2 years of Voice and/or Data communications experience (preferred).
Required Skills and Competencies :
Proven technical aptitude. Good mechanical skills. Adept in the use of electrical, electronic and mechanical tools. Professional/Customer service skills. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Computer competent with required software and operating systems, such as Microsoft Suite. Organizational Skills. Teamwork Skills. Proven ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
Physical Demands :
Ability to lift boxes up to 40lbs. Standing at work bench. Strong use of hand tools.
