Responsibilities Core Job Duties:
Broadcast Equipment Maintenance and Installation Install, configure, and maintain broadcast systems and equipment, such as transmitters, receivers, and audio processing tools. Perform routine inspections and repairs to ensure optimal functionality. Signal Quality Monitoring Monitor and analyze audio and signal quality to ensure compliance with FCC regulations and station standards. Troubleshoot and resolve signal issues promptly. System Upgrades and Integration Plan and execute system upgrades to incorporate new technology and improve station capabilities. Integrate software and hardware components into existing systems. Technical Support Provide on-call technical support during live broadcasts or emergencies. Assist production teams with technical requirements for shows and events. Documentation and Compliance Maintain a list of equipment in use and available for deployment anywhere in the company if needed. Ensure compliance with federal and local broadcasting regulations. Collaboration Work closely with programming and production teams to address their technical needs. Work together with our other corporate engineers to help collaborate on issues and solutions around the company. Weekly or Bi-weekly meetings will be beneficial. Coordinate with external vendors for equipment purchases and installations. Project Management Lead or participate in projects such as new studio builds or transmission site installations. Ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule. Safety and Training Enforce safety standards and protocols in the workplace. Train staff on the use of technical equipment and software. Please note, tasks will be performed within our New York/ Pennsylvania markets including Elmira, Olean, State College, Mansfield, Lebanon, Selinsgrove and Lewistown with a home base location.
Qualifications What You'll Bring:
A minimum of 3 years Engineer experience. Broadcasting and Radio IT/Engineer is not required but definitely a plus to secure this position. A proven track record of leadership and driving success.
