(TCI) is seeking Mid- to Senior Level Radio Room Electrical/Electronic Technicians with experience in operating Radio Rooms to join our team in Newport, RI. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and production/fabrication of a range of Submarine Radio Room systems and associated subsystems. The Submarine radio rooms are undergoing constant upgrades and resulting testing of new configurations. These modifications require personnel who can handle the constantly changing, technically challenging work as part of a team.
  • Perform Radio Room Operations by conducting testing utilizing a wide variety of test equipment and test procedures;
  • The Technician will work independently and with our team to set up and operate equipment.
As part of the testing/reporting, they will record data, measure and record any results and associated issues that will require resolution from engineering or other test staff.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of High school diploma or GED;
  • Experience in the operations of Radio Rooms required; a PLUS if experience was on submarine and on Common Submarine Radio Room platforms.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience with Submarine Electronics, QA Material Process;
  • Experience with Test Equipment including O'scope, spectrum analyzers, signal generator, and network analyzers;
  • Experience with RF room & Certification Program Skills a plus;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
The primary location for performance of the work will be in Newport, RI with occasional travel required within the continental United States.
