Assistant Director of Instructional Design and Creative Services (Instructional Specialist I, 12 Month Salaried) Medicine Florida State University - 4.3 Tallahassee, FL Job Details Full-time 23 hours ago Qualifications Faculty collaboration Online learning activities Online learning environment experience Online learning curriculum development Team management Remote training Educational content composition projects Full Job Description Department College of Medicine, Med Faculty Development Responsibilities The Office of Faculty Development in the College of Medicine is seeking an Assistant Director of Instructional Design & Creative Services. This position will report directly to the Assistant Dean of Faculty Development. While this role has administrative and managerial responsibilities, it will also contribute heavily to the production of graphic and instructional design projects requested by MED faculty and departments. Will plan, coordinate, implement, and regularly report faculty development initiatives and events as well as produce training materials for face-to-face and online sessions. A larger percentage of responsibilities will be production of materials and modules, but proportion may evolve over time with demonstrated expertise and as programmatic needs evolve. Qualifications Academic master's degree in a related field or highest-level terminal degree from an accredited institution in Instructional Systems, Educational Learning Psychology, Graphic Design, Visual Arts or related field. Experience designing materials for online learning. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with faculty, staff, and students. Proven supervisory and managerial skills. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Highly motivated, collaborative and team-oriented. Preferred Qualifications Terminal degree, doctorate in Instructional systems, Adult Education, or related degree. Experience utilizing authoring software (Camtasia, Articulate). Formal Graphic Design training or related for two or more years. Knowledge of educational research, scholarship of teaching and learning, and/or instructional design is strongly preferred. Project management training or certification. Teaching experience. Training experience in educational technology and/or learning management systems. Contact Info Shenifa M.
