Job Description and Purpose The Creative Director leads the creative vision and execution of the brand across all customer touchpoints, including digital advertising, email and SMS, website and eCommerce, social media, packaging, video, promotions, and brand campaigns. Managing a small creative team, this role is responsible for delivering bold, original creative that strengthens the brand, captures attention, and supports business growth. As a key brand leader, this position ensures the brand remains consistent and recognizable while continuing to evolve, balancing creativity with performance to drive engagement, conversion, subscriptions, and revenue across DTC, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and retail channels. The Creative Director partners closely with Content, Marketing, eCommerce, Product Development, and executive leadership to translate business priorities into compelling creative. Success requires strong creative vision, brand discipline, business awareness, and an AI-forward mindset. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Creative Vision & Brand Leadership Own the creative vision and set the standard for creative excellence across all channels and customer touchpoints. Develop bold, original concepts and creative ideas that differentiate the brand in the health and wellness market. Serve as the guardian of the brand, developing and evolving brand guidelines, visual identity standards, tone of voice, and creative standards to ensure consistency across all assets. Present creative concepts and strategy to executive leadership, translating business priorities and organizational vision into compelling creative. Brand Refresh, Rebranding & Packaging Lead brand refresh and rebranding initiatives from strategy and creative exploration through execution and rollout across all channels. Own product packaging and label design, including new product launches, packaging refreshes, and line extensions. Partner with Product Development, Regulatory, Operations, printers, and vendors to deliver compliant, on-brand, and visually compelling packaging optimized for DTC, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and retail channels. Website & eCommerce Creative Lead the overall design, user experience, and visual standards of the organization's eCommerce website, including the homepage, landing pages, navigation, and product detail pages. Partner with eCommerce, IT, and CRO teams to test and optimize page design, layouts, and creative using performance and conversion data. Oversee creative for Amazon listings, A+ content, storefronts, and other marketplace channels. Campaigns, Advertising, Email & Promotions Lead creative across paid social, TikTok, search, display, video, influencer/creator content, email, and SMS. Develop and oversee creative for product launches, seasonal campaigns, loyalty and subscription programs, promotions, and partnerships. Use performance data and testing to continuously improve creative effectiveness through rapid iteration of concepts, ad variations, messaging, and hooks. Manage creative briefs, timelines, reviews, and approvals to support high-volume, on-time delivery. AI-Powered Creative & Innovation Leverage AI tools and workflows to accelerate concepting, design, copy, image and video production, creative testing, and personalization while maintaining brand quality standards. Create and manage AI-generated creative, including avatars, spokesperson content, UGC-style content, explainer videos, imagery, and other emerging formats. Stay ahead of emerging AI and creative technologies and identify opportunities to incorporate new tools and capabilities into the team's work. Train and upskill the creative team on AI tools, workflows, and best practices. Ensure AI-generated content is used responsibly and in accordance with company policies, applicable advertising and regulatory guidelines, and disclosure requirements. Content & Cross-Functional Partnership Partner closely with Content, Social Media, Influencer, TikTok, and other cross-functional teams to bring articles, scripts, social content, educational materials, campaigns, and product launches to life visually while maintaining alignment with overall brand standards. Team Leadership & Creative Operations Lead, coach, develop, and hold accountable a team of creative professionals while fostering a culture of experimentation, big ideas, speed, and continuous improvement. Set priorities, manage workloads, and establish efficient creative processes, review standards, and project management practices. Manage relationships with freelancers, photographers, videographers, and agency partners as needed. Participate in annual planning and budgeting for creative and manage spending against established expectations. Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. 10+ years of creative experience, including experience in a Creative Director, Associate Creative Director, or senior creative leadership role. Strong portfolio demonstrating original, high-impact creative work and measurable business results. Proven experience leading brand refreshes or rebrands, including brand development, visual identity, and execution across channels. Experience with product packaging and direct-to-consumer/eCommerce creative, including websites, product pages, email, paid social, and performance advertising; experience in supplements, health and wellness, beauty, or consumer packaged goods preferred. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma; experience with Shopify, Klaviyo, TikTok, TikTok Shop, and Amazon preferred. Experience using AI creative tools to support design, imagery, video, content development, and creative workflows. Strong brand-building skills with the ability to maintain brand consistency while evolving creative direction. Proven ability to lead and develop creative teams while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Understanding of FTC, DSHEA, and health/supplement marketing guidelines preferred. Strong presentation and communication skills, including the ability to present creative concepts and recommendations to executive leadership.
