Lead and elevate the client's agency-wide 3D experiential and spatial design practice, establishing design standards, driving creative excellence, and overseeing major experiential projects from concept through execution.

Responsibilities:

Define and evolve agency-wide 3D, spatial, and environmental design standards and best practices Lead spatial design direction across multiple concurrent experiential projects and accounts Drive quality, consistency, efficiency, and craft across the design organization Establish standards for spatial planning, materiality, scale, guest flow, detailing, and environmental storytelling Lead concept development and spatial storytelling for priority projects and new business pitches Provide hands-on guidance around schematic drawings, spatial flows, builds, and technical design Manage approximately 4-5 direct reports with additional dotted-line and freelance team members Partner with creative, production, and operations teams to align creative ambition with budgets, timelines, fabrication, and build realities Identify opportunities to improve workflows, resourcing, processes, and team capabilities Present creative work and strategic rationale to senior stakeholders Oversee design integrity through production, fabrication, and onsite execution Travel periodically for events, project installations, and company gatherings

Required Qualifications:

12 years of experience in spatial design, experiential design, environmental design 5-7 years of recent experience working within experiential agencies Current Creative Director or Senior Creative Director ready to step into broader Group Creative Director-level ownership Strong spatial or architectural design background with experience in blueprints, schematic drawings, spatial planning, and guest flow Deep expertise in materiality, detailing, environmental design, and spatial storytelling Portfolio demonstrating a high level of design craft and concepting/storytelling through materials - experiences should be more than just branded environments but be multi-layered in concept/narrative Experience with both temporary experiential activations and more permanent or semi-permanent interior environments Experience creating branded interior buildouts, retail environments, hospitality spaces, or similar experiential environments Strong understanding of experiential production, fabrication processes, materials, and build considerations Hands-on proficiency with 3D design and spatial planning tools such as SketchUp and Rhino, or comparable platforms Experience establishing or improving design systems, workflows, standards, and best practices across an organization Significant people-management experience, including leading multidisciplinary design teams Experience managing large, complex, multi-level projects across multiple accounts Background working within both smaller entrepreneurial agencies and larger agency environments Polished, diplomatic, collaborative, calm, and confident leadership style Excellent communication and presentation skills Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building processes within a growing organization Strong ability to build consensus while remaining decisive

Preferred Qualifications:

Architecture background or previous professional architecture experience Experience with permanent hospitality, restaurant, or retail environments Experience incorporating AI tools or AI-enabled workflows into the creative/design process Bachelor's degree in Design, Advertising, Architecture, or a related creative discipline
