Producing more than 45 hours of live newscasts every week, ABC7 Eyewitness News is widely recognized for its solution-based journalism and advocacy with legacy franchises Seven on Your Side and I-Team.

ABC7 is a respected and valued community resource, KGO-TV is an ABC Owned Television Station serving San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, and the greater Bay Area.
Job Summary:
KGO-TV/ABC7
Eyewitness News, the ABC-owned television station in San Francisco, also serving Oakland and San Jose is seeking an accredited meteorologist or experienced weather anchor to prepare and present daily weather forecasts for newscasts, on digital and social platforms. The meteorologist/weather anchor will use weather software systems to create and present forecasts for various newscasts. This role will also create forecasts for digital and social platforms and for the
KGO-TV/ABC7
Eyewitness News 24/7 live stream. The successful candidate will provide live coverage during significant weather events and breaking news situations, delivering clear, accurate, and engaging information across broadcast, streaming, digital, and social platforms. This is a full-time position that may require flexibility in scheduling and assignments across multiple dayparts, including mornings, days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and significant weather or breaking news coverage. Role:
Producing and presenting on-air forecasts Writing weather digital stories and engaging with social media audiences Reporting from the field during weather events or weather stories
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience reporting weather on-air. Candidates should have a solid resume reel showing superior on-camera presentation.

AMS Seal The hiring range for this
SAG-AFTRA
position in San Francisco, CA is $90,948 - $180,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
