Job Description

The Kansas City Mavericks are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our Corporate Partnerships team during the 2026 - 2027 season. This position offers hands-on experience in corporate sponsorships and provides a behind-the-scenes look at how partnerships are sold, activated, serviced, and renewed within a professional sports organization. The ideal candidate will possess a professional demeanor, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Interns will play an active role in game-day operations, sponsor activations, hospitality, community events, and various front office initiatives throughout the season. The Corporate Sponsorship Intern will focus towards sales and help with Partnership Activations.
Essential Duties Pre-Game:
Assist with setup and placement of sponsorship signage, promotional materials, and activation elements throughout the arena, prepare and organize giveaway items, contest prizing, and sponsor hospitality materials for game nights, assist with suite preparation and hospitality needs, coordinate pre-game sponsorship elements, including ceremonial puck drops, VIP experiences, and sponsorship activations, verify sponsor branding
In-Game:
Assist in the execution of sponsorship activations, contests, and promotional elements during Mavericks home games, serve as a liaison between sponsors, guests, and front office staff to ensure a positive game-night experience, escort sponsors and VIPs to the ice for in-game promotions, support suite hospitality and sponsor entertainment initiatives, support the promotional table and various other concourse elements, assist with player and staff meal coordination, assist with breakdown and storage of sponsorship signage, gather photos and activation documents for sponsor recap reports
Post-Game:
Assist with breakdown of promotional materials and sponsorship signage throughout the arena, help distribute sponsor giveaways and manage post-game fan experience, assist with player meal logistics
Office Tasks:
Assist with sponsor proof-of-performance and season recap reports, learn the Corporate Sponsorship sales cycle, including prospecting, proposal development, activation, renewal, and retention strategies, assist with sponsorship asset tracking, inventory management, and fulfillment Other roles and responsibilities may be required Qualifications Current college student (undergraduate or graduate). Must be able to receive course credit.
