ICE CREW - PART-TIME/GAME DAYS
Lincoln Stars Hockey | The Ice Box Lincoln, Nebraska The Lincoln Stars are seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Ice Crew for the USHL season. Ice Crew members help maintain a safe, professional playing surface and support ice-related operations before, during, and after Lincoln Stars home games. This is a part-time, game-day position requiring availability during evenings, weekends, and select holidays throughout the hockey season. Responsibilities Assist with preparing and maintaining the ice surface before, during, and after home games. Complete ice repairs and remove excess snow during scheduled game stoppages. Assist with moving nets and other on-ice equipment. Support intermission activities, promotions, and special events as needed. Help maintain a clean and safe environment around the rink, benches, penalty boxes, and ice-access areas. Follow all safety procedures and directions provided by the Ice Operations and Game Operations teams. Assist with other game-day duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous ice crew, rink operations, or ice maintenance experience preferred. Experience skating in a fast-paced environment strongly preferred. Ability to work Lincoln Stars home games, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Comfortable working in a cold arena environment. Ability to remain focused and professional during live games and in front of large crowds. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift or move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Knowledge of hockey and game operations is helpful but not required. Schedule This is a seasonal, part-time position primarily scheduled around Lincoln Stars home games at the Ice Box. Additional opportunities may be available for practices, tournaments, special events, and other facility activities.
