Job Description

Position Overview Candid Color Photography & Party Pics is seeking an experienced and driven Photography Manager to lead and grow a large team of photographers and support staff. This role combines leadership, operational oversight, and customer-focused execution across a variety of event types including sports, social events, graduations, proms and preschool/daycare photography. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a passion and knowledge for photography, strong background in team management and the ability to use data and communication to drive performance and results. Responsibilities and Preferred Experience
  • Oversee day-to-day operations for photography services across multiple event types.
  • Lead, hire, and develop a large photography team, ensuring high performance and strong team culture.
  • Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring proper coverage across all events and efficient use of resources.
  • Design and implement effective training programs to maintain quality and consistency across all events.
  • Manage and maintain photography equipment and inventory, including cameras, lighting, and related gear.
  • Analyze performance metrics and operational data to improve efficiency, quality, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, operations, and customer service.
  • Maintain high standards for photographic quality and delivery service to ensure exceptional customer experience.
  • Ability to set photography goals to correlate with sales goals.
  • Motivate and incentivize staff to meet and exceed performance and sales goals.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to handle real-time issues during events with equipment and staff. Education/Training
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Photography, Visual Arts, Business Administration, Communication, Computer Science, Management or a related field preferred or commensurate photography experience.
  • Certification or coursework in event management or photography a plus.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in photography operations with experience in staff management, including hiring, training and performance evaluation and equipment management preferred.
  • Familiarity with using event management software or photo production software.
Pay:
From $65,000.00 per year
