Job Description

Zoellner Media Group is searching for an engaging, informed, and dynamic Full-Time News/Talk Radio Host to lead live and local programming. This position requires an individual who can connect with listeners, deliver compelling talk content, and handle breaking news and severe weather with credibility, confidence, and energy. As part of our award-winning team, you'll shape the conversation every day by interviewing newsmakers, reacting to breaking stories, and engaging directly with the audience on-air and online. This position broadcasts on one of America's most respected news/talk radio brands, with passionate professionals who care deeply about their audience and community. Essential Skills and Qualifications A minimum of five years of professional radio experience, preferably in the News/Talk format - you MUST provide a link to your most recent aircheck(s) Proven experience in news/talk ratings, or personality-driven radio (or equivalent media experience) Exceptional writing, storytelling, interviewing, and conversational skills Strong editorial judgment and knowledge of current events (local, state, regional, and national) Ability to multitask by handling breaking news calmly and accurately under pressure Comfortable working with social media, podcasting, and digital platforms Knowledge of professional radio equipment, such as WideOrbit Radio Automation, NewsBoss software, Wheatstone audio systems, Website CMS, top social media platforms, Comrex remote equipment, etc. Valid driver's license and insurability on station vehicles.
