Gameday Assistant Salary:
Hourly (~0-20 hrs/week) The Portland Winterhawks provide a fun and exciting game day experience to our fans. Game Night Assistants are an integral part of making that a success. They will be involved in the development and execution of in-game and game day experiences, assisting the Sr Manager, Game Entertainment, supporting live game production, mascot, carrying out various activities, and supporting the production of the game. Game Night Assistants will be expected to engage with fans and promote a positive experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure game elements are set up with direction from Entertainment and Operation personnel. Coordinate cohesively with other departments to execute entertainment. Facilitate with game elements, including but are not limited to interacting with fans/contestants, setting up gameday promotions, coordinating with entertainment team on concourse, pregame, and intermission activations. Support general game night entertainment or marketing department projects and programs as needed. Assist other departments such as ticketing, merchandise, sponsorship, or VIP fan experience when needed. Provide additional support during Winterhawks special events.
REQUIREMENTS
College student or recent graduate. Ability to work in fast-paced environment. Ability to attend majority of home games during the season, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and accept all tasks assigned. Ability to work independently or in a group during set up and to get tasks done quickly. Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position, including setting up equipment for events, Standing for long periods of time and other light to medium lifting. Ability to communicate effectively with management and guests. Position does not guarantee candidates will be able to watch games.
