Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented Race Timers for event-based work in the Greenville, SC area. As a Race Timer, you'll be a key part of ensuring accurate, efficient race timing and results delivery. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, embraces technology, and thrives in a fast-paced, event-focused environment.
Responsibilities Event Setup and Breakdown :
Transport, install, and dismantle race timing equipment including mats, clocks, and computers.Timing Operations :
Operate and monitor timing systems during races to accurately capture and record finish times.Results Management :
Process live and final race results, troubleshoot discrepancies, and prepare results for awards ceremonies.Technical Troubleshooting :
Quickly diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues on-site.Athlete Support :
Provide outstanding customer service to participants, race organizers, and volunteers, especially regarding timing and results inquiries.Data Management :
Manage registration imports, monitor timing data during events, and generate post-race reports.Collaboration :
Work closely with the GO Race Productions team to ensure smooth event execution and uphold company standards.Qualifications Experience :
Prior race timing experience preferred but not required (training and support will be provided).Technical Skills :
Comfortable with computers, networking basics, and basic data management. Attention toDetail :
Precision and focus on accuracy are critical.Problem-Solving :
Ability to remain calm and adapt quickly to technical challenges under pressure.Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying conditions.Schedule Flexibility :
Availability on weekends, and for occasional travel to event sites.Transportation :
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
