The office mission is to empower students, employees, and the broader community through education, engagement, and collaborative action to build a sustainable future. Sustainability Ambassadors are critical to the advancement of the office mission and achieving University targets for climate action. The Sustainable Campus Initiative Fund (SCIF) Sustainability Ambassador will work independently and collaboratively with our team of faculty, staff, and student employees. Ambassadors are integral to the success of our office and programs like SCIF. Sustainability Ambassadors learn professional skills and grow their understanding of sustainability at the University of Utah. Funding is available to pursue professional development. This position is open to all majors. This position is work-study eligible but work-study participation is not required.

Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:

Assist in program development, execution and evaluation. Represent the office at public events and support engagement efforts including logistics, tabling and other outreach. Develop written and digital marketing content for program events and initiatives. Perform administrative duties including greeting visitors, answering phone and email inquiries, scheduling appointments, data entry, project research, errands, and processing mail. Maintain office areas and storage; maintain service and supplies of office equipment and general office operations. Participating in meetings and professional development opportunities.
