Busch Gardens Williamsburg proudly partners with the Peninsula Youth Collaborative—including the United Way of the Virginia Peninsula and the Hampton Roads Workforce Council—to support local youth through our dedicated transportation program. This initiative provides transportation to and from Busch Gardens for each scheduled shift, departing from a central meeting location in Newport News, Virginia. The program is designed for youth who are eager to work but lack access to reliable transportation. Enrollment is limited and participation is subject to a scheduled interview. Job opportunities include Food & Beverage Ambassador or Ride Operator Eligibility is limited. Interview is required. Interviews scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis after submitting the application Current Busch Gardens and Water Country USA ambassadors are not eligible to participate To be eligible, you must attend the interview event on August 29, 2026. Interviews will be held at the Veterans Employment Center 600 Thimble Shoals Blvd, Suite 210 Newport News, VA 23606 (Located in the Wells Fargo building, on the corner of Jefferson Ave and Thimble Shoals Blvd) What it takes to succeed: At least 16 years old Strong Communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations Excellent multi-tasking abilities Ability to train on and properly use protective gear Ability to walk and stand extensively Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions Comfortable working around water and animals Previous guest service experience highly desirable
Compensation:
