Job Description

Position Overview:
Vivid Imagination Inc. is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Drone Instructor to teach students in inner city schools across New York City. The ideal candidate will inspire and educate children from 2nd grade through high school, introducing them to drone technology and its applications.
Vivid Imagination's Mission:

We aim to develop confidence in our students and instill in them the belief that their aspirations can be obtained through preparation, along with a passion for their vision. We are dedicated to educating young people by encouraging them to use their talents for the greater social good. Through guiding and mentoring, our students will be equitable exposure to a wide range of extracurricular and enrichment opportunities that build leadership, nurture talents and interests, and increase engagement with school. Students are introduced to video, media, music, 3D design, coding, and or Virtual Reality(VR). Aside from that, our program also uses career/media mix workshops as a fresh approach to engaging and communicating with our students. We developed a program that promotes envisioning digital technologies as a future career.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver age-appropriate drone instruction curricula for students ranging from 2nd grade to high school Conduct hands-on drone flying lessons with students in their classrooms Teach drone safety, regulations, and best practices Maintain and manage drone equipment Collaborate with school staff to integrate drone education into existing programs Adapt teaching methods to suit various learning styles and age groups Ensure a safe learning environment for all students Guide students through drone soccer giving information on the topic and teaching them how to play Facilitating drone soccer matches among the students
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a drone instructor (preferred) Bachelor's degree (preferred) Knowledge of drone soccer (preferred) FAA license (preferred) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patience and ability to work with children of various ages Thorough knowledge of drone technology, safety, and regulations Flexible schedule with availability during school hours Willingness to travel to different schools within New York City
MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS
All students learn differently, and a good robotics teacher will make sure to provide a variety of lessons for different learning styles. A robotics teacher needs to be organized for optimal effectiveness. Not every student will be a natural at robotics. Patience with students who learn differently or more slowly is essential for ensuring that all students succeed. A robotics teacher should have an abundance of energy to meet the demands of the job, including administrative tasks, making robotics fun and interesting to students, and staying on top of changes in the industry. A positive attitude in the classroom helps to create a safe and respectful learning environment for optimal student learning. Has knowledge on FAA guidelines and regulations.
