Job Description

PURPOSE:
Implement internal and external communication across all print and online channels with a coherent brand identity supporting the vision and values of the church
PRIMARY DUTIES
Work with the Minister of Story and the senior pastor to clarify and maintain the visual brand identity coherent with the vision and values of the church. Produce printed materials and/or coordinate with support staff, volunteers, and vendors to create both internal and external communication - including, but not limited to, bulletins, announcement sheets, programs, study guides, and brochures. Create graphics (logos, layouts, treatments, slides, flyers) for print, video, & online media Create and maintain permanent and temporary signage on the church campus Create and maintain a process to gather information from ministry leaders and ensure prioritization, timeliness, and accuracy of communicating out events, special services, summits, and conferences. Maintain App and Website content and coordinate with developers to enhance platforms as needed. Work with Communications Assistant - and complete duties in their absence: Print in-house communication materials Ensure signage and posters on campus are updated Distribute and replenish print materials for all weekly worship services and our Connection Point desk Wednesday Night Worship set-up (bulletins, directional signage, banner flags)
SKILLS PREFERRED
Good interpersonal and organizational skills Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain schedules Excellent Graphic design skills and familiarity with Adobe suite and Canva Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to adapt voice to varied media, audiences, and contexts Strong working knowledge of Mac computer platforms and good technological literacy Heart for ministry with a passion to use effective communication to enhance the evangelistic and discipleship mission of the church
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
College degree in communications, media, journalism, or related area. Demonstrated writing ability; experience managing communications across multiple media channels; experience with communications in a ministry setting preferred.
