Onsite Pay Range:
$50/hr. - $55/hr.
Responsibilities:
Write and publish approximately one original article per day, depending on assignment complexity and editorial responsibilities. Produce fast-turnaround sports coverage tied to matchups, results, schedules, standings, marquee events, and other timely sports moments. Develop evergreen and discovery content, including how-to-watch guides, team and competition explainers, previews, and viewing guides. Apply SEO best practices and search intent principles when developing and editing content. Required Qualifications Significant professional experience as a digital sports editor, writer, or journalist. Working familiarity with U_FC, college football, and the broader sports landscape. Excellent writing, editing, copy editing, and headline-writing skills. Experience editing other writers and providing constructive, actionable feedback. Working knowledge of SEO and search intent. Experience with Word_Press or comparable CMS platforms. Strong research, fact-checking, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage stakeholder feedback and approval processes effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working at a major sports publication, newsroom, or high-volume digital sports operation. Strong experience developing headlines, subheads, article structures, and search-optimized content. Experience creating recommendation, service, evergreen, and search-driven content. Familiarity with audience insights, search trends, and content-performance data. Experience managing multiple editorial priorities in a fast-paced digital environment.
