PragerU is seeking a Clip-Cutting Specialist (Editor) to help transform long-form video content into compelling short clips for social media. This role is ideal for someone who can quickly identify impactful moments, craft engaging hooks, titles and descriptions, and produce high-volume, high-quality clips optimized for digital platforms. The ideal candidate has strong editorial judgment, understands what performs well on social media, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced content environment.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Review long-form video content and identify compelling moments suitable for short clips Create "mash-up" style videos with trending content and edit them together with PragerU content to create an original video for social media platforms. Create text/image/video-based carousels for social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube Community Cut and edit clips optimized for social media platforms such as YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and X Write concise, engaging text hooks, captions, and descriptions for each clip that accurately reflect the content and attract viewers Ensure clips align with PragerU's messaging, tone, and brand standards Collaborate with the content and social media teams to prioritize high-impact clips Deliver a high volume of clips on tight deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy Organize and label clips clearly for efficient publishing and distribution

Successful Candidates Will Possess :

Strong understanding of social media content and what makes clips engaging Excellent writing and summarization skills for titles and descriptions Ability to quickly analyze long-form content and identify key moments Experience with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere, Creative Cloud, or similar software preferred Highly organized with strong attention to detail Low ego and a team player Willing to innovate and bring effective solutions to the team How to

Salary Range :

The salary target for this role is $65,000 - $80,000+. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and most recent market data. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance, in addition to our robust benefits package.
