Job Description

Melt'd - San Diego, CA Melt'd is a bold new delivery-only food brand launching in San Diego. We're not looking for a traditional marketer—we're looking for someone who understands how to make people stop scrolling. We've already built the brand, the strategy, and a large library of high-quality food content. Your job is to transform that content into engaging daily posts that build our audience and drive orders. What You'll Do Edit short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube Shorts Add captions, motion graphics, animations, memes, sound effects and trending audio Write engaging captions that match the Melt'd brand voice Schedule and publish daily content Manage comments and community engagement Track performance and recommend improvements Coordinate with local food influencers when needed Content Strategy You'll participate in one initial production day to understand the brand and help organize our content library. After that, the position is primarily remote. You'll work from our existing library of videos and photos, repurposing content into fresh, engaging posts. Additional filming days will only be needed occasionally for new menu items, promotions or special campaigns. Requirements Experience editing short-form social media content Excellent understanding of Instagram, TikTok and viral content trends Proficiency with CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or similar editing software Strong storytelling skills and a good sense of humor Organized, reliable and able to work independently Based in San Diego County Nice to Have Experience with food, restaurant or hospitality brands Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Runway or similar creative platforms Basic graphic design skills Photography or videography experience To Apply Please include: A link to your Instagram, TikTok or portfolio Three examples of short-form videos you've edited A brief explanation (2-3 paragraphs) describing how you would grow Melt'd from zero to 10,000 local followers in San Diego. Compensation Part-time (5-10 hours per week) $25-35 per hour, depending on experience Flexible schedule Mostly remote after the initial content day Opportunity to grow with the company as Melt'd expands Who You'll Love Working With You're someone who enjoys turning one great video into ten different pieces of content.
