Job Description

Our client, a leader in standards development and technical publishing, is seeking a XML Editing Specialist to join their team. As a XML Editing Specialist, you will be part of the department supporting standards publication and content management.

$30/HR What's the Job? Coordinate and support publishing activities related to standards and technical documents Prepare, edit, proof, and format standards content to ensure accuracy and readiness for publication Utilize Oxygen XML Editor to review, edit, and validate XML documents within structured publishing workflows Apply knowledge of NISO Standards Tag Suite (STS) for content tagging, document structure validation, and metadata management Conduct quality control reviews to identify and resolve formatting, structural, and publication issues before release What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Publishing, Information Science, or related field Experience preparing, editing, and quality assuring technical documents for publication Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including document formatting and style management Experience using Oxygen XML Editor and working within XML-based publishing workflows is MUST Working knowledge of NISO STS or similar structured tagging frameworks used in technical publishing
