Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior QC Editor as a contractor to join Acumens team of QC and Editorial Specialists who review documents prior to finalization. The Senior QC Editor will work closely with Acumens writers, program managers, and publishers to ensure every client deliverable is polished, cohesive, internally consistent, and aligned with Acumens high-quality standards. Candidates must be highly proficient in MS Word, demonstrate exceptional command of English usage, and possess a meticulous eye for detail, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines. Experience editing scientific documents using established style guides (e.g., AMA Manual of Style) within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is required, while familiarity with regulatory submissions is preferred and experience with eCTD publishing is a plus. Responsibilities Partner with the authoring medical writer to align on the scope and specifications of the editorial and quality review.

Line-edit and format documents to ensure clarity, cohesiveness, and internal consistencyAlign documents to pre-set templates, regulatory guidance, and/or style guidesPerform data checks against source tables, listings, and figures to verify accuracyUpdate and manage references using EndNote or other reference management softwareProvide clear, concise, and actionable editorial recommendations to the authoring writerEnsure all edits maintain scientific integrity and are appropriate for regulatory and scientific audiences using Acumen's QC checklists and technology-enabled workflows Requirements Bachelors degree in a scientific, medical, communications, or related field required; advanced degree preferred5+ years of experience editing scientific, clinical, or regulatory documents in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare sectorsDemonstrated experience applying style guides (e.g., AMA Manual of Style, house style guides) in scientific contextsExperience supporting regulatory submissions (INDs, NDAs, BLAs, CTDs) preferredFamiliarity with eCTD publishing workflows is a plus recblid soafiy5r68a9khnija8r8md26m7wkz
