Job Description

We need a Creative solo
SHOOTER/EDITOR
for 6-days shooting and editing a music video for a Performing Arts Program. You need to be highly qualified at both. You'll work under the direction of a veteran LA-based commercial/feature director creating the best (and fastest) music video you've ever made at Summer Stars, a 501-c3 performing arts bootcamp for disadvantaged for 12-17 year-olds, now in its 27th year. Think of it like a 48-hour Film Contest, only it's 6 days, you can sleep at night. See our "about" reel at www.summerstars.org. This is an ideal gig for a new freelancer, film major or grad student in the NY or New England area. Or anyone who loves creativity, kids and making their own films-- and wants to do a little giving back. AND You'll get a decent day rate, plus travel mileage from NY/New England Area; plus room and board on a stunning rural campus. You must be a skilled, fast, and very creative shooter with an awesome eye, AND a quick and accomplished editor. You'll need your own 2k-or-better rig, lenses, cards, batteries, and laptop. A few lights/reflectors a plus. You'll be finishing this video on site in HD, so you'll need a solid laptop and top software package (say, Premiere + After-Effects or equivalent).
TO APPLY
Send a resume, a note saying why you'd be great for this, an equipment list of what you have, and links to your favorite short projects as a shooter/editor.
