This position is in person and will be located at the Missouri Capitol Building, Room 117-A, Jefferson City, MO. Why you'll love this position: The Committee on Legislative Research is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Editor - Missouri Revisor of Statutes to join our team. This position plays a key role in reviewing, editing, and preparing legislative materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and compliance with statutory requirements. Responsibilities - What you'll do The editor assists the Revisor and Assistant Revisor in styling and publishing the Revised Statutes of Missouri, This job includes reading, proofreading, and styling legislation for inclusion in the Revised Statutes as well as the Missouri Session Laws. The editor will also be expected to assume some clerical functions and ideally some programming or web design duties. The Missouri Revisor's office is a non-partisan division oof the Joint Committee on Legislative Research. Qualifications - All you need for success
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field or commensurate experience in publishing. Fluency in Microsoft Word.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous professional experience in newspaper, book, or magazine publishing, in computer programming or web design, or in a legal or governmental office. Knowledge of APA, Bluebook, or other academic styling and citation rules. Fluency in all Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Word Perfect. Lack of post‐secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
