Smiley Publishing—publisher of The Laker , Along Route 16 , Home Magazine , Dining Out in the Lakes Region , and Scenic White Mountains Magazine —is looking for a sharp-eyed Proofreader / Copy Editor to join our creative, fast-paced team in Wolfeboro, NH. This part-time, in-person role (15-20 hours/week, with potential for more in our busy seasons) is ideal for someone who thrives on catching errors others miss, loves the written word, and enjoys working collaboratively in a small, flexible office environment. We're looking for someone available to work Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, with some flexibility on other days during production deadlines.
What You'll Do:
Proofread and copy edit editorial content and ads for grammar, spelling, clarity, and consistency Collaborate with our editorial and design teams to polish final layouts Contribute to the creative process and maintain our high-quality publishing standards Assist with occasional office tasks that help keep our operations running smoothly Be part of a team passionate about local storytelling and quality publications
