Job Description
AbelCine, a premier provider of equipment and technology solutions for the broadcast, production, and new media industries, is seeking a temporary Assistant Editor to support a short-term project with one of our key clients. This opportunity is well-suited for an experienced Assistant Editor who brings strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to production workflows. Key Responsibilities Sync and organize files in Premiere Pro Create dailies and string-outs for next-day review Source and license stock assets, replacing preview files as needed Manage file handoffs with colorist, sound mixer, and compositor Version cutdowns for social platforms (9x16, 4x5, 1x1), especially toward the end of the engagement Pull stills for creative and production needs Generate AI assets to support the edit workflow Requirements for a successful candidate: Proven Assistant Editor experience on documentary or narrative projects Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro (After Effects a plus) Familiarity with AI tools such as Google VEO or Runway Experience with comedic content is highly desirable Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Prolonged periods of sitting at a computer Dexterity for using design tools and equipment Ability to distinguish colors, fonts, and images Ability to concentrate on detailed tasks Occasional lifting of light equipment (e.g., printers, monitors) Standing or walking for short periods, such as during meetings or presentations
