Today Job Description Summary of Position The Direct Mail Assistant supports all aspects of Direct Mail Marketing. This requires working closely with marketing team members and vendor partners. This is a non-exempt position. Accountability Reports to the Direct Mail Manager. Core Responsibilities Collaborates with Development staff and vendor partners to ensure direct mail packages are handled appropriately. Responsibilities 1. Assists in all areas of Direct Mail production to keep projects on schedule. This includes, but is not limited to, updating the Integrated Marketing Schedule, submitting edits to vendors, compiling review binders and creating job tickets. 2. Prioritizes and meets deadlines to keep campaigns on schedule. Keeps the appropriate people advised of any possible problems. 3. Maintains the paper and digital library of sample mailings. 4. Follows Direct Mail standards and updates vendor specifications as necessary. 5. Reviews and proofs all Development Office mailings to ensure pieces are accurate and professionally written and designed. 6. Reviews, proofs and writes marketing material as necessary. 7. Serves as a backup to various areas within the Integrated Marketing Department. 8. Performs other responsibilities as required by the Direct Mail Manager. Qualifications- BA preferred, or similar experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Must possess strong communication skills, be detail oriented and organized
- Excellent editor/proof-reader and proficient writer
- Ability to multi-task and take initiative
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet changing deadlines
- Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly Physical Demands
